History

1965

SIS, società italiana spugne e stuzzicadenti (Italian sponges and toothpicks company), is founded.   Over time, MA, for Mantua will be added.

1965

As a result of the meeting with the Japanese sales representative Tanaka, brothers Enzo and Giovanni Lotti discover the potential  of birch wood. They bring it to Italy: Samurai is founded.

1965 1975

Samurai paves the way for a decade of discoveries and patents. After a trip to the USA, cotton buds are introduced in Italy. Welcome to Cotoneve.

1975 1990

The vision is expanded to include personal protection and home care products: Farmacotone and Logex.

1990

The production of private label products is launched.

1998

New facility with the launching of the production plant in Bollate (Mi). Product innovation: the Cotoneve make-up remover cotton pads are produced.

2020

New corporate structure with wide-ranging relaunch and development plans to make everyone’s life easier: we are in the era of Nuovasisma.
